The Great Lakeland 3 Day is one of our favourite events in the calendar - with three days of awesome running in the beautiful Lake District.

1. Stunning scenery
The Lake District is one of the UKs most beautiful National Parks with a great range of scenery.
Take in some stunning tops, beautiful fells and amazing lakeside views whilst enjoying the course.
2. Perfect preparation for other events
The GL3D is a great event to give you a taster of what some other running events are like. Organised by the people who bring you the Dragon's Back Race, Cape Wrath Ultra and Northern Traverse the GL3D is a great stepping stone to hone your skills.
It will give you experience of navigating, packing for multi-day events and camp life - not to mention the running!
3. Great for all abilities and experience levels
At the Great Lakeland 3 Day there are 6 choices of course all offering different distances and levels of elevation - so you can pick and choose each day which course you would like to run.
From the Café course which is around 15k per day and takes in some great places to stop for a cuppa - to the extreme course which is a tough day running 40k+ on some hard terrain and everything in between. There is truly something for everyone at the GL3D.
4. Much more than just running
The GL3D is more than just running - yes you will spend your days running in the iconic lake district - but there is so much more going on around the event.
Take part in the nightly quiz, check out some great films and talks from inspiring people including SCARPA Athletes.

We've been involved with the GL3D for four years now and love meeting as many runners as we can at the event.
As ever we will be there with our range of trail running shoes - which you can try out on the hills!
